In this oral history interview with Judge William Norton, Norton answers questions posed by St. John's University's LLM program. Topics of discussion include the judge's legal education, law clerk experience, and tax law practice. Then the discussion turns to Judge Norton's judgeship, his treatise (Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice), and his decision on the Pine Gate case. Also discussed are cases and legislation specific to bankruptcy court, how the area of bankruptcy is viewed within the wider legal community, Judge Norton's participation in in the formation of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB), the judge's thoughts on the field in its current state, and his advice for the law students.
